This conversation between Daniel Schmachtemberger and Nora Bateson explores the double binds of living in this era of so many overlapping crises, (what Daniel calls the Metacrisis).
How are these larger critical situations coming together to shape our lives at home, our bodies, the ability to help each other and ourselves?
As increasing tensions push economy, tech, politics, education and ecology- toward thresholds of breakdown the pressure is demanding solutions. But what if the solutions that are perceived to be the most obvious are increasing the problems?
What are the implicit, and deeper shared assumptions that guide response to the metacrisis, and how can we begin to tend those unseen, but insidious issues. What does it mean to seek nth order change?
Nate Hagens will also join for the second half of the session.
